I thought fixing a sticky garage door in my house on Olsen would be a quick afternoon job. It took three weekends.

Oh man, that's the home repair guarantee. You go in for a simple fix, then you find a bent track. So you fix that, but then the rollers are shot. By the third weekend you're just staring at the spring wondering what your life choices were.

Homeowner's cascade" sounds dramatic but honestly people act like changing a furnace filter turns into a backyard surgery. I've swapped out plenty of springs without rebuilding the whole door. If you know what you're doing you can stop the cascade before it starts. Half the time folks just panic and start replacing everything in sight instead of taking a deep breath and ordering that ten dollar part.

That name is way too kind for it. It's a total trap. You start with a ten dollar part and end up with a whole new system by Sunday night. The spring is always the final boss.
