Spent $400 on a fancy gutter guard system that clogged in two months

I got the mesh kind installed on my house near Wolflin last fall, thinking it would save me from cleaning leaves. Ngl, the fine Texas dirt and those little seed pods just packed in there solid and caused an overflow that stained my siding. Anyone know a better fix for gutters around here that actually works with our specific junk?

Honestly, those mesh guards are a scam for our local grit and seeds.

Tell me about it. They clog up in five minutes flat. You're better off just shaking the seeds out of your shoe the old fashioned way. Feels like they design these things for perfectly clean city sidewalks, not real dirt.

Switched to the solid snap-on covers and they've been great. The junk just slides right off.
