Spotted a 1930s bungalow on Polk Street with the original window screens still on, got me thinking about my own place
I was driving down Polk Street near the old Wolflin area yesterday and caught a house with wavy glass windows and the original wood screens, probably from around 1932. Whoever lives there has clearly been keeping up with them because I didn't see one sagging frame or torn screen. Made me feel bad about my own back porch screens that I've been meaning to re-spline since spring. Anybody got a trick for keeping wood screens from warping in this dry Amarillo heat?
