Compared a $20 eBay AI art prompt pack vs writing my own prompts. The difference was MASSIVE.

Idk man, my "creativity" usually tops out at "cat wearing a hat" or "cyberpunk dog." A $20 prompt pack probably still has better ideas than my brain on a Tuesday afternoon.

But doesn't that kind of defeat the whole point? I mean, part of the fun of AI art is figuring out what makes it tick and getting better at describing stuff. With a pre-made pack you're just using someone else's ideas instead of learning how to narrow down your own vision. In my experience, even duds like "cat wearing a hat" can teach you something about prompt structure if you tweak them a little.

That part about "cat wearing a hat" got me thinking because I spent a whole weekend doing that exact thing last month. My first few prompts were just basic stuff like "grumpy dog" and "robot chef" and they all came out looking like junk. But here's the weird thing - I accidentally typed "watercolor cat wearing a top hat" instead of "cyberpunk cat" and it completely changed how I think about prompts. Now I'm mixing styles and subjects I never would have paired together before. The $20 pack probably has some good stuff in it, but those happy accidents are where I've learned the most.
