Hit 500 generations on Midjourney before I finally got one that didn't look like a melting wax figure
That 500th prompt was a simple 'red barn in snow' and it came out perfect, but the 499 before it made me realize how much tweaking you actually need for AI art to feel real.

Oh man, 500 tries for one good barn is rough. I feel your pain though, I once spent like two hours trying to get an AI to generate a cat that didn't have six legs or some kind of weird fur situation. It's like the universe is testing our patience one weird melting face at a time. Makes you appreciate how hard it is to actually make something look real though, right? How many prompts are you averaging per good image these days?

Is it just me or does @drew_hart4 always get the weirdest cat mutations?

Hugos46 is right, that cat with six legs sounds like a nightmare. I've been there with trying to get a realistic animal face, it's almost like the AI has a mind of its own sometimes. For me, it's not about the average per good one, it's about knowing when to walk away and try a totally different prompt instead of just tweaking the same one. 500 tries is a lot, but at least that barn came out perfect, that's the kind of win that makes you forget the 499 fails for a little while.
