Just realized why that AI painting app felt so weird to use at my buddy's place in Boise
He typed in 'sunset over mountains,' got a pretty picture in 4 seconds, and I felt nothing looking at it, while the crooked painting his daughter did at age 6 still hangs in his kitchen and I stop to look at it every time, so is the difference really the skill or is it that nobody in the room cared about the prompt?
My own stick figure drawings make me feel more than any fancy AI art ever could, and trust me, they are BAD. Pretty sure my mom still has one on her fridge and it looks like a potato with legs. So yeah, it's gotta be the care behind it, not the skill.
