My friend's kid made an AI picture for a school project and it won a prize.
The teacher said it was 'creative problem solving' but the other parents are really upset about it. Does using AI for a contest like that cross a line?

Was the project about making art or about solving a problem with new tools? My cousin's kid did something similar last year. They had to make a book cover and used an AI image generator. The TEACHER said the smart part was writing the exact, perfect description to get the picture they saw in their head. That's a real skill now. The other parents were mad too, but the kid learned more about tech and words than if they'd just drawn a bad picture.
