My nephew's art class spent a week on AI pieces and he can't draw a face freehand
I was at my sister's place in Dayton last month and her 15 year old showed me his portfolio for a school project. Six of the twelve pieces were made with an AI tool, and the teacher gave him full marks same as the kids who spent hours on theirs. I asked him to sketch his own character without it and he couldn't get the eyes level after four tries. I'm not saying the kid has no talent, but giving the same grade for typing a prompt feels like handing out a trophy for ordering food. Where do you all draw the line with kids using this stuff for school art?
