My professor argued AI art lacks 'intentionality', but seeing a gallery piece generated from a 500-word poem in Chicago last month made me reconsider.
He claimed for months that true creativity requires conscious purpose, but the exhibit's description detailed how the artist's specific word choices directly shaped the visual output, which felt surprisingly deliberate.

Wait, they used a 500-word poem to make the art? That's wild. The artist basically gave the AI a crazy detailed map. Sounds pretty intentional to me, lol. Your professor might need to see that exhibit.

But a detailed map still needs someone else to actually draw it.

Isn't that just how most stuff gets made now? We give super specific instructions all the time, like a detailed food order or a long list for a contractor. The person still makes the thing, but our plan guides it completely. Feels like the artist did the real creative work by making that poem map, and the AI was just the tool that followed it.
