My sketch group in Portland had a big fight over an AI drawing I brought in last week
We meet every Tuesday at a coffee shop on Hawthorne and last week I showed them a portrait I made with an AI tool in about 20 minutes. My friend Dana got really quiet and then said it felt like I skipped the part where art is hard, and honestly she had a point. I tried explaining that I still picked the colors and fixed the hands, but the mood was off for the rest of the night. We ended up agreeing to keep AI stuff out of our weekly prompt drawings for now, which felt fair. Has anyone else had a group split like this over where the line should be?

Been through this with my old crew in Austin. Keeping AI out of the group prompts but using whatever you want on your own time is the move that saved us.
