Showerthought: I asked an AI to make a picture of my cat as a Roman senator
I typed in 'fluffy orange tabby in a toga giving a speech to the Senate' into one of those free art makers last week. It gave me a cat with three eyes, a toga made of what looked like bacon, and the background was just floating columns and eyeballs. I learned that 'creative' for an AI is just a weird mix of stuff it has seen before, with no real thought behind it. Has anyone else gotten a truly bizarre result from a simple prompt?

Honestly, the weirdness is the whole point for me now. I keep giving it simple stuff just to see what strange parts it latches onto. It's like the AI has a bunch of random magnets in its brain and whatever sticks, sticks. My friend asked for a dog in a raincoat and got a puddle with fur texture.

Was that not the point?

Actually, @james_bell, the point might have been to start a different conversation entirely (you know, like a distraction). That would explain why the replies went off the rails so fast. Sometimes the real goal is just to get people talking about something else.
