Spent 2 hours tweaking an AI art prompt and got a three-legged cat with six eyes
I was trying to generate a simple portrait for a D&D character and the AI decided my half-elf needed a third arm holding a pizza. Has anyone else had the AI just completely ignore what you typed and go rogue like that?

Read an article saying AI models "hallucinate" when they don't understand the prompt's intent.

It's like when you ask someone for directions and they give you an answer that sounds confident but makes no sense once you actually start walking. People do this all the time, not just AI. Like how a customer service rep will read off a script that technically answers one question but completely misses what you actually asked. Or when a friend tells you they know a shortcut but it ends up being twice as long because they only half remembered the route. The AI's doing the same thing - it's filling in the gaps with whatever fits the pattern, even if the pattern is wrong.

Bet you had "pizza" in some other prompt that got mixed in, right? Do you think the AI is actually getting dumber or are these models just hitting their limit?
