I used to think AI art was just stealing from real artists, but last week a guy paid me $20 for a prompt I wrote for his band's demo cover. It took me 5 minutes and he loved it. Has anyone else had a small win like that change how they feel?
But here's the thing nobody's really talking about yet @charles_young92. That $20 rate might look good on paper, but it's usually the bait and switch in this industry. First visit is cheap to get you in the door, then suddenly you're looking at $80 for a proper cut because they conveniently forgot to mention the "styling fee" or "product charge" that adds up fast. I've seen it happen to three different friends who thought they found a bargain. Plus there's the whole deal where 5 minutes means they're rushing through, probably skipping the consultation or the final touches that make or break a good cut. If it works for you long term then cool, but I'd be careful assuming that price is the real story.
