Tried feeding an AI my own messy sketches to see if it could "improve" them
I spent an afternoon feeding an AI art tool about 20 of my really rough pencil sketches from my sketchbook. I'm not a great artist by any stretch, just someone who doodles during lunch breaks. The AI took my wobbly lines and turned them into polished, clean illustrations that looked professional. But here's the thing, they lost all the character of the original drawings. My wonky perspective got fixed, but also my weird charm got erased. The result looked like something from a stock image site. It taught me that maybe "improvement" isn't always better when it comes to art. Has anyone else felt like the AI version just misses the soul of the original?
