Unpopular opinion: I used to think AI art was just a neat trick for making phone wallpapers.
Now I see people selling prints of it at the local art fair, and it makes me wonder where the line is for real creative work. Has anyone else seen this happen in their town?

Honestly, I felt the same way at first, like it was just a cool toy. Then last weekend I saw a booth at the market selling these shiny prints of fantasy landscapes, all made with AI. The guy was charging fifty bucks a pop! It kinda hit me that this is a real thing now. It makes you question what skill even means in art anymore.

Ugh, that exact thing happened to me. I saw AI art at a craft fair and my first thought was "well, guess I didn't need to spend ten years learning to paint." It's a weird spot for sure.

Yeah, that's a weird feeling. I get what samflores is saying about it making you question skill. It just feels different seeing it sold like that.
