Vent: Dropped $200 on Midjourney for a month and got nothing worth keeping
I was sure the AI could pump out social media graphics faster than my shaky hand in Photoshop, but every output needed so much tweaking it would've been faster to just design from scratch. Has anyone else found a specific style or prompt that actually saves time?

Did you try using the "raw" mode or dialing the style way down? I found those gave me more usable starting points for social stuff. I wasted my first week on the default settings getting nothing usable either, but after I turned off all the fancy styling and kept prompts dead simple, I at least got something that felt like a rough draft instead of a mess.

haha "shaky hand in Photoshop" is a bit dramatic don't you think? its a graphic design tool not brain surgery. you can undo things. but i get it, the hype around these tools is crazy. people act like you just type and get a masterpiece, but really its just another tool that takes practice.
honestly six hours for one logo? your buddy needs to chill. i had a coworker spend a whole afternoon trying to make an AI write poetry for a birthday card. she gave up and wrote "happy birthday" in sharpie. sometimes you just need to know when to quit and do it the old way.
the real question is why drop $200 on a gamble. thats like buying a whole new photoshop subscription for a month. if you need social media graphics that bad just use Canva like everyone else. AI is good for inspiration but not for serious work unless you want to spend hours fixing its mistakes.
