I counted how many times a day AI decides stuff for me and got 214
Last Tuesday I sat down with a notepad and did something kind of dumb. I tried to count every single time some AI system made a small call for me in one day. Not big stuff like hiring or medical stuff, just the little stuff. The number came out to 214. My map app rerouted me 6 times on the drive to work alone. My email sorted 63 messages into folders I never set up. The bank flagged 2 charges and cleared them before I even saw them. My streaming app picked what played next 9 times and I never touched the remote. What got me was that I couldn't name who wrote the rules for any of those 214 calls. Nobody voted on them. No form told me they existed. I just woke up one day inside a system making hundreds of tiny choices about my life and I had agreed to all of it by never reading anything. So here's what I want to know from you all, where do you draw the line on the small stuff? Is it only a problem when the call is big, or does 214 little ones add up to something?
