I let an AI judge a small claims case between me and my old boss, and the result was messed up.
We had a dispute over $1,200 for a job I did last month. For a laugh, I fed all our texts and the contract into one of those free online 'AI judge' tools. It ruled in his favor because his messages were longer and more formal, so the AI said his argument 'seemed more complete'. It totally missed the point that he was just repeating wrong info. Learned that AI can be swayed by style over substance, big time. Makes you wonder how bad it could get if this stuff is used for real legal stuff. Has anyone else tested AI on a personal conflict and gotten a weird result?

Ever tried asking a human to read it instead?

Guess we found the one judge impressed by corporate buzzword bingo.

Real talk, if you want them to actually read it, stick the main point and the dollar figures in the first two sentences. Judges skim everything (who can blame them, honestly), so burying the good stuff under a wall of "heretofore" and "utilizing synergistic approaches" is just asking for them to check out. I've seen people rewrite the same motion three times because the clerk kept saying it was "too dense." A little white space and plain English goes a long way.
