I used to write every email myself, now I let AI draft them, and one got me in trouble last Tuesday
I work IT help desk in Columbus and up until about 8 months ago I typed out every single email by hand, even the boring ones. Then our team got a new ticketing system with an AI reply button, so I started using it for password resets and basic stuff, maybe 20 tickets a day. Last Tuesday it drafted a reply to a manager about a locked account and somehow the tone came off like I was blaming her for forgetting her password. She forwarded it to my boss. I mean the AI was just working off my old replies, so maybe it learned that tone from me? Idk, it made me think about who's actually responsible when the robot says something rude. Has anyone else had an AI draft backfire on them like that, and did you stop using it after?
