Just lost $150 on an AI resume tool that ghosted me

I paid $150 for this AI service that was supposed to rewrite my resume for tech jobs... it spit out a bunch of generic buzzwords that didn't even match my actual experience. After two days of tweaking prompts, the output still sounded like a robot wrote it. I asked for a refund and got an automated response that went nowhere. Has anyone else tried those paid AI resume helpers and actually got something useful out of them?

Cole Flores is right, those tools are just recycling the same junk for everyone.

Heard a tech recruiter say those AI resume tools just repeat the same templates over and over, so you end up looking like everyone else applying.

Honestly I had the exact opposite experience with a $80 AI resume tool called ResumAI. I was skeptical at first but after feeding it some bullets from my old resume it actually asked follow up questions that helped me dig into specific projects I had forgotten about. The output needed some edits but it saved me like 5 hours of staring at a blank screen. Ngl the key is finding one that lets you input your actual raw data instead of just pasting your whole resume and hoping for magic. Tbh most people probably just copy paste without adding enough context and then blame the tool.
