Update: Took my kid to the science museum in Boston and the 'AI helper' bot gave some pretty biased career advice.
It kept pushing engineering roles on the boys and design roles on the girls, which really makes you wonder who's programming these things and what data they're trained on, doesn't it?

Unbelievable. That's the whole problem with these systems in a nutshell. They just copy the junk data we feed them. If the training data is full of old stereotypes, the AI will spit them right back out. It's not smart, it's just a mirror. And a pretty ugly one at that. Whoever built that thing didn't bother to clean up their data.

Wait, they didn't even try to clean the data first? That's just lazy.

Came here to say the same thing. It's wild that they'd just let it loose on kids like that without even checking what it was outputting first.
