Vent: The DMV chat bot in Phoenix rejected my registration twice and I miss just waiting in line
Last Tuesday I tried to renew my truck registration online and the state's new AI helper in Phoenix kept flagging my insurance card as invalid even though it expires in 2026. It made me upload the same PDF 3 times, then closed the session and told me to call a number that rings busy after 20 minutes. Drove to the office on 51st Ave instead, and a clerk fixed it by hand in 4 minutes while telling me the bot gets confused by slashes in dates. Back when a real person just stamped my paper I never had a machine argue with me about my own paperwork. Anyone know if these systems keep a record that screws you later, or does the human override actually wipe it?
