Finally got my image gen prompt to stop ignoring negative space, 6 weeks later
I kept asking for 'empty room, lots of blank wall' and every model kept filling it with clutter or weird shadows. Tried different wording, different seeds, even tried negative prompts which did nothing useful. Turns out the fix was adding a measurement like '8 foot wide empty wall' and specifying the camera angle. Took me almost 6 weeks of fiddling on and off to realize the AI just needed concrete dimensions instead of vague descriptions. Has anyone else found that giving spatial numbers helps more than describing the mood or feeling?

Wait, did you ever figure out if it was the room with the couch or the one with all the chairs? Because I've been in those open floor plans where you think you found the living room, but it turns out you're just standing in the hallway that leads to the bathroom.

Wait, is nobody gonna talk about the layout of the actual house? Like, those open floor plans where the kitchen, dining, and living room all bleed into one giant space. You can be standing in the middle of it and honestly have zero clue which zone you're in. It took me a minute to realize the couch wasn't the dining area, but the TV was mounted on a wall that faced the kitchen island. So you'd sit on the couch and watch TV, but you were technically in the kitchen. Place was a nightmare for hosting, people would just stand around holding plates looking lost.
