Had to pick between two AI image generators for a client project last month
The client wanted a specific style of architectural renderings and I was stuck between Midjourney and a newer one called Ideogram. Went with Ideogram because it handled text in the images way better, like putting a company logo on a building facade. It worked out, but the style control was a bit less flexible than I hoped. Anyone have a go-to for detailed, branded image generation?

DALL-E 3 nails text and brand details for me every time.

Read an article last week about how these tools train on different data sets. The one you pick depends on if you need perfect text or a specific art style. DALL-E 3 gets good marks for text, but some people say it makes everything look a bit too clean and stock photo-ish. For architectural stuff, you might have to keep testing a few to find the right balance. It sounds like you already figured out Ideogram's limits on style.

Wait, isn't DALL-E 3 actually pretty hit or miss with text in my experience? I've seen a lot of folks complain that it still gets letters and words wrong a good chunk of the time, especially if the prompt has a lot of text in it. For logos and brand details, maybe for simple stuff it works, but I've had way better luck with Midjourney for anything that needs clean, readable text in a specific style. Your mileage may vary though, I know some people swear by it.
