My AI scheduling bot booked two clients at the same time last week

I set up this fancy AI calendar tool to handle my freelance appointments, and it double-booked a 2pm slot on Tuesday for both a portrait session and a wedding consult. Lost one client because I had to cancel on them last minute, and the AI just said 'sorry' with no real fix. Has anyone else had a scheduling AI actually break your business day instead of helping it?

Blame the bot but look at your own setup too - most AI schedulers need you to teach it rules about buffer time and overlapping slots so it actually knows what to block off.

Didn't that AI just make you want to throw your laptop out the window? I had the exact same thing happen with my scheduling bot, double booked a consultation and a shoot in the same hour. It sent me a nice apology email but that doesn't fix losing a paying client. Big lesson learned the hard way, you really do have to babysit these things at first. Now I check my calendar every single morning before I trust it. Feels like I'm doing the AI's job plus my own.
