My AI writing assistant kept adding emojis to technical documents and I almost sent a rocket launch plan with a smiley face
Tried out that popular generative AI to draft some engineering specs last Tuesday and it inserted 3 rocket emojis and a party popper into a section about fuel mixture ratios, so now I read every line like a hawk before hitting send.

Did you catch that article in Wired last month about the rocket scientists who fired a guy for letting ChatGPT write their emergency shutdown procedures? It had smiley faces in the abort sequence. I swear these AI tools have a weird obsession with emojis, like they think everything needs to be cheerful. That's a hard pass for me on anything more serious than a shopping list.

Yeah I used to think people were overreacting about AI safety, but that story changed my mind pretty fast.
