My trip planning went from 6 browser tabs to one chat box, and I'm still weird about it
Two years back I'd spend a whole Sunday night on rental car sites and ferry schedules for a trip to Maine, and now I just type the dates into one AI tool and get a plan in about 30 seconds. It gets the big stuff right but keeps making up tiny ferry times that don't exist, so I still double-check those. Does anyone have a trick for getting it to stop inventing local businesses?
Did you ever try asking it to only pull from places that have a real website? My buddy ran into this last summer planning a drive up the coast. The tool kept sending him to a clam shack that closed years ago, and he didn't find out until he was standing in an empty parking lot. He started pasting in the names himself and asking it to just confirm hours and addresses instead of finding new spots. That cut down the made up stuff a lot. Takes some of the fun out of it, but at least you're not chasing ghost businesses.
