Vent: That AI logo generator ate my whole project budget

I paid $149 for a viral AI logo tool last month, thought it would finally replace my designer freelancer, and it gave me 20 versions that all looked like melted cheese with clipart wings. After 3 hours of tweaking prompts and still getting gibberish text in the graphics, I went back to my designer and she fixed it in 20 minutes for $85. Has anyone else burned cash on these hyped-up generators and found the human route actually cheaper in the end?

That AI logo thing got me too. Dropped $120 on one that promised "pro level branding" and got like 18 versions of the same weird triangle blob. My neighbor who does graphic design on the side laughed when I showed her and fixed it over coffee for $40 plus a pack of good donuts. The text was always either missing letters or just straight up nonsense, no matter what I typed in the prompt. Honestly the only thing those tools are good for is making me appreciate real designers way more.
