My boss said AI would cut our report time in half... it took me 3 days to fix the data it messed up.
The AI tool gave me a fast draft, but the numbers were wrong and I had to check every single source again. Anyone else find these 'time savers' actually create more work to fix?

Remember my buddy who bought that fancy kitchen gadget? He spent more time cleaning it than he ever saved using it, so it just collects dust now. I mean, sometimes the simple way is faster after you add everything up.

My last company pushed a new data tool that promised to cut a weekly task from four hours to one. It took me five hours just to clean the output every single time. I learned to only use it for the basic structure and then manually input all the key figures myself, which is what @daniel_gonzalez is getting at with the kitchen gadget thing. The extra step feels dumb, but it's still faster than fixing a mess later. You have to know exactly where the weak points are and never trust it with the important bits.
