Tried AI editing suite for one job, went back to my old timeline approach
The AI cut 45 minutes of filler out of a client testimonial in 20 seconds, but it also chopped the moment the owner actually smiled, and I spent 40 minutes patching that back together when doing it by hand always took me under an hour, anyone else find the fix-up work eats the time savings?

So did you have to dig through the raw footage to find that smile, or did you already know roughly where it was? Because I feel like that's the real catch with these tools. If you don't know the source material cold, you're basically hunting for needles in a haystack after the AI does its thing. And if you do know it cold, then you could've just made the cuts yourself in the same time. The math only works if the AI is perfect, which it never is on the stuff that actually matters, like a person's reaction or a pause that means something. What was the actual time split between finding what it broke and then fixing it?
