Tried to get an AI to sort my inbox and ended up with 47 folders for newsletters I didn't ask for

Spent 3 hours this Sunday untangling a mess of automated rules that filed an urgent client email into a folder called 'Promotions.old'. Has anyone else had an AI tool overcorrect in a way that made more work than it saved?

Joined that mess early on @angelarivera, now my archive folder holds real invoices next to 6 pizza coupons I never clicked.

Used to roll my eyes at people complaining about AI tools making things worse, but then I told mine to "organize" my work calendar and it moved all my project deadlines into a category called "Optional Reading." Lost a full day tracking down which emails actually needed a response. You are not alone in this.

Oh man, that's rough! I once asked my AI assistant to "clean up" my photo library and it decided that every single blurry picture of my cat looking out the window was a "duplicate" and deleted them all. Took me weeks to realize half my cat photos were gone, and now I have to live with the ones where he just looks grumpy. Tech really does have a way of making simple things complicated, doesn't it?
