Walked through a corporate office park last week and saw more empty cubicles than people

I was visiting a client's office outside of Denver to pick up some tax docs. Place used to be buzzing a few years ago, now it felt like a ghost town. Talked to the receptionist and she said they've been quietly replacing data entry and scheduling roles with AI tools since last spring. Something like 30% of their admin staff is just gone. Has anyone else seen offices turning into hollow shells like this? What do you do when the people you used to network with literally aren't there anymore?

Man I read that AI is replacing like 40% of scheduling jobs now, crazy.

Whoa wait, where did you see that number? I've been following this stuff pretty closely and I'm pretty sure the actual stats are way lower than 40%. Most of the reports I've seen say it's more like 10-15% of scheduling tasks getting automated, not entire jobs disappearing. People still need to handle the exceptions and the weird cases that pop up all the time. It's definitely changing things but I don't think it's as dramatic as that headline makes it sound.
