That no-oil method is a solid start, but a quick spritz of oil really is the game changer. It helps the heat transfer better so you get that perfect crunch all over, not just in spots. Tried it both ways and the ones with a tiny bit of avocado oil were next level. They got that crackly skin like a proper fry.
