Friend swore her air fryer wings were better than deep fried - she was right

My buddy Sarah from work kept telling me her air fryer chicken wings were better than deep fried. I called her crazy until she brought some to our potluck last Tuesday. She doesn't use any oil at all just pats them dry and seasons them then cooks at 380 for 25 minutes flipping halfway. They came out super crispy and way less greasy than what I make in my fryer. Has anyone else had that kind of result with wings or is this a fluke?

Totally feel you on this, I was a deep fry snob too until my neighbor proved me wrong with her air fryer wings. They're honestly way less messy to clean up after too, aren't they?

Just pat them dry with a paper towel before you season them. That extra moisture is what makes them steam instead of crisp. Also dont crowd the basket, give them room to breathe. I toss mine in a tiny bit of baking powder with the seasoning, gives them a better crunch without any oil. And yeah, clean up is basically just wiping out the drawer, way better than dealing with a pot of old grease.
