I finally stopped preheating my air fryer for frozen food
For two years I always ran my Cosori for 5 minutes before tossing in frozen chicken tenders, thinking it got the crisp right. Last month I skipped the preheat on a busy Tuesday and the texture was actually better, plus dinner was ready sooner. Has anyone else noticed that preheating makes frozen stuff dry out on the outside while the middle stays cold?
Preheat was the whole reason I bought an air fryer. Figured it was like an oven, you know? Then my dumb ass realized I was basically cooking frozen stuff twice. Tenders came out like hockey pucks on the outside and raw in the middle. Now I just toss them in cold and let the machine do its thing. Saves me exactly 5 minutes I spend staring at the wall anyway.
