My air fryer chicken wings came out super dry last night
I followed a recipe online that said to cook them at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, flipping once. They looked done but were tough and chewy inside, not juicy at all. I think maybe the time was too long for my Philips air fryer model. Has anyone found a better time and temp for getting crispy yet tender wings?

400 degrees for 20 minutes? That's way too hot and long for wings in my experience. You basically dried them out like jerky. I do mine at 380 for about 12 to 14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway. They come out crispy outside but still have juice. Your model might run hotter than the recipe writer's.

Yeah, that tracks. I've totally been there, following a recipe to the letter and ending up with hockey pucks. Every air fryer is a little different, and some just run way hotter. I had to learn the hard way to always check a few minutes early. Now I treat those time and temp guides as a starting point, not a rule.

Wait, you don't shake the basket at all?
