My friend's wedding in Nashville turned my air fryer into a dessert machine

Oh man, I saw a whole video series about this. Some baker made mini pies, hand pies, and even tiny skillet cookies in an air fryer. The key was using those little foil tins you get for pot pies.

Wait, tiny SKILLET cookies? Like the kind you get at a restaurant? @foster.tessa, that's blowing my mind right now. I can't picture the dough not just flying around in there. Did they have to freeze it first or something? My air fryer would just make a huge mess.

My cousin tried those foil tin desserts after her own wedding last year. Honestly, it just seems like a lot of work for a single cookie. You have to buy the special tins, make a tiny batch of dough, and then clean the air fryer basket anyway. Tbh my regular oven on a sheet pan is way less fuss for a better result. The whole trend feels like solving a problem that doesn't really exist.

My neighbor tried this last summer with those little foil tins and it was a disaster. She was making mini apple crisps for a block party and the dough just didn't cook right in the air fryer. Ended up with burnt edges and a raw middle that she had to microwave to fix. I remember her saying the cleanup took longer than the actual baking part. Meanwhile my regular oven baked a full sheet of cookies in the same time without any special pans or gadgets. Sometimes the old ways are just simpler.
