PSA: My air fryer chicken wings in Portland last night turned out way too dry
I followed a recipe that said 400 degrees for 18 minutes, but after 12 they were already leathery. I think my model runs hotter than most. What temp and time do you all use for wings?

That recipe sounds like a good way to make jerky. Most models do run hot, so you have to drop the temp and check early. I start at 375 and just keep an eye on them until they look right.

Yeah, @sanchez.mary is right about the heat. These things always run hotter than they say. You just have to watch it and pull them early.

My old oven ran about 25 degrees hot. I learned to set it for 350 when a recipe said 375 and just add a few extra minutes. You really do have to go by how the food looks, not just the timer.
