Rant: my air fryer basket coating started flaking into my wings last Friday
I was making lemon pepper wings for me and my girlfriend at our place in Sacramento, and when I pulled the basket out I saw little black flakes stuck to the crispy edges. Ran my finger along the bottom and a whole patch of the nonstick just peeled right off. I tossed the batch in the trash because I wasn't about to eat paint chips, and then I soaked the basket in hot water and baking soda hoping it was just burnt on grease. It was not grease, it was the coating, so now I'm scrubbing a rust spot on a basket that's only 14 months old. Has this happened to anyone else, and did you just buy a new basket or toss the whole unit and switch to a different brand?
