Hit 10,000 flight hours logged and it felt different than I expected

I passed the 10,000 hour mark in my logbook last Tuesday while doing a routine inspection on a 737. It's funny because I've been turning wrenches for 22 years, started at a small shop in Wichita, and I never really counted before. But that number made me think about all the night shifts and cold hangars that got me here. The milestone itself didn't change anything about my job, but it made me appreciate the quiet consistency of this trade. My apprentice asked me what the big deal was, and I told him it's just proof that showing up daily adds up. Has anyone else hit a certain hour count or job number that made them pause and reflect?
