Talked to a retired inspector at the airport diner yesterday and he said something that stuck with me
We were just chatting about the usual stuff and he mentioned how he used to see guys get too comfortable with the same repair on the same plane model. He said, 'You start to think you know it, but the plane doesn't know you.' It hit different because I realized I've been doing that with the Cessna 172 wheel bearings I've been seeing a lot of lately. Made me stop and double-check the manual this morning even though I've done a dozen. Anyone else catch themselves getting a little too automatic on a common job?

Heard a guy at my hangar tell a similar story last week.

Lol but honestly how many times can you mess up a wheel bearing before it's just overkill?
