Vent: spent 6 hours chasing a fuel leak that was basically a loose B-nut
Had a seep on the right wing root of a Cessna 172 last Tuesday, figured it was a bad gasket or O-ring so I pulled the panel and started at square one. Tore into the lines, pressure checked twice, swapped a sender gasket, and finally found the B-nut on the vent line was backed off maybe a quarter turn. 6 hours on a job that should've been 20 minutes if I'd just put a wrench on every fitting first like I was taught at A&P school in Tulsa. Anyone else got a dumb one that ate your whole shift?
