Was chasing a fuel leak for 2 hours last Tuesday and my coworker spotted it in 30 seconds with a UV dye light

We spent all morning swapping seals on a Cessna 172 at KAPA and the old-timer just walks over, hits it with the UV lamp, and points right at a pinhole in a hose that wasn't even on my list.

old-timer" knows UV dye saves hours every time.

Nothing beats popping that glow stick in the coolant system.

Ngl, I had a buddy who learned that the hard way. He spent like three hours tracing a tiny pinhole leak in his radiator with just a flashlight and a prayer. Finally broke down and got the UV dye, and sure enough it lit up like a Christmas tree in about five minutes. Reminded me of @susan_adams' glow stick trick actually, same kind of lazy genius. Honestly, sometimes the old school fixes are just smarter than overcomplicating stuff. Tbh, I'd rather spend a few bucks on dye than chase ghosts all afternoon.
