I finally had a customer in Austin ask me to hide the keypad inside their fake potted plant.

They said 'it's for the aesthetic' while pointing at a plastic fern, and I spent 45 minutes trying to make a DSC Neo panel look like part of the decor, lol.

Ever try a small plastic rock? I had a client who wanted the same thing. Found a fake rock cover at a garden store. Drilled a hole in the bottom for the wires. Panel fit inside perfect. Looked like a weird decoration but they loved it.

That plastic rock idea is genius. Had a client last year who wanted their whole system invisible. We ended up hiding a motion sensor inside a hollowed-out book on a shelf. Took forever to get the angle right so it would still work. People get really serious about not seeing any tech.
