Overhead door contacts are worth the extra time now
I used to always throw a surface mount on garage doors since it was faster. Last month a customer's door got yanked off track during a storm and the contact ripped clean out of the wire. Swapped to an overhead mount with a roller bracket on the next three jobs, and the install only adds maybe 15 minutes each. Has anyone found a decent way to protect the cable run on those high lift doors?
