Pro tip: Switched from a 2-wire to a 4-wire setup for a garage motion sensor.
False alarms dropped from like 5 a week to zero over the last two months. Anyone else find that extra power wire makes that big a difference on long runs?

Honestly, I've run 2-wire sensors on long garage runs for years with no issues. Sounds more like a bad connection or voltage drop you fixed, not the wire count itself.

Samk77 might be onto something with the bad connection idea... but my money's on the sensor just being happier with its own dedicated power line. It's like giving a fussy toddler their own snack instead of making them share.
