Shoutout to zip ties for fixing a loose panel sensor in 2 minutes
I had a window sensor that kept falling off because the adhesive pad wouldn't stick to the rough frame. I tried double-sided tape and even super glue, but nothing held for more than a day. Then I just ran a small zip tie through the sensor holes and around the window hinge, snugged it tight, and it's been solid for 3 months now. Has anyone else found a quick fix like this for a tricky mount?

My buddy did the same thing with his garage sensor. Works perfect now.

Wait, I used to think those cheap sensors were all junk, didn't you? But after hearing a few stories like this, I'm starting to think maybe I was wrong.

Read somewhere that those cheaper sensors actually use a similar chip to the expensive ones, just with a weaker plastic housing. Heard a guy say his lasted over 2 years in a dusty garage before it finally gave out. Sounds like the internals are fine for basic use, just not built to survive a drop or anything heavy hitting them.
