Stopped using wire nuts for everything after a false alarm call last week

I always thought wire nuts were fine until I got a call about a false alarm at a condo in Arlington. Found two nuts loose inside the sensor box from vibration alone. Switched to wagos for all my low voltage connections now. Anybody else have better luck with push connectors on alarm circuits?

Found the same thing with a few older alarm panels in commercial buildings. Wagos are definitely more reliable for low voltage since they grip the wire tighter and don't loosen up over time. Made the switch a year ago and haven't had a single loose connection since.

Does it bug you that Wagos cost a bit more upfront than wire nuts? I switched a few months back and haven't had a single call back since. Worth the extra few bucks for peace of mind.

Doesn't the cost difference pay for itself on the first callback you don't get? @wendy820 nailed it with the low voltage stuff too. I don't miss fighting with old wire nuts one bit.
