Talking to a firefighter neighbor changed how I think about system testing

He said their biggest problem is finding a system's main panel during a call, which made me start putting a bright red label on every one I install. How do you guys make sure first responders can find your gear fast?

Ever try glow-in-the-dark labels for the breaker box?

Glow in the dark is a great idea, I never thought of that. My old boss made us put big reflective stickers on all the main panels, not just a label. It really helps when the power is out and a flashlight beam hits it. What about putting those stickers on the actual door to the utility room too?

Glow stickers sound cool but they NEED light first to charge up. A bright red label works day or night, no waiting. That's what my crew always uses.
