Vent: That fancy crimping tool cost me a full day's pay

Bought a new 'pro' crimper for $220 because the sales guy said it was faster for data lines. First job with it, the crimps kept failing continuity checks. Had to redo every single connection on a 12-camera install in a downtown office building. Lost about $400 in labor reworking it all. Anyone know a crimper that actually works right for Cat6?

Ugh, that's brutal. Honestly, the crimper is fine, but you gotta check the dies match your exact cable brand and type.

Yeah, and @xena_bailey18, sometimes the cable's own specs are just wrong, which is the real headache.

Actually had the same issue with mismatched dies. The crimper itself was solid once I got the right ones.
